With the advent of Christianity, the birth of Jesus Christ began to be celebrated on December 25 (old style) or January 7 (new style). The ancient pagan rite was timed to one of the greatest Christian holidays - Christmas. New religious carols with biblical and Christian images appeared. They have gained the same popularity as the old carols.
"At a time when there was neither land nor sky, only one blue sea - in the middle of this sea there were two oaks, and two doves sat on the oaks; the doves went down to the bottom of the sea, got sand and stone, from which the earth was created, the sky and heavenly bodies". The mythological plot reflected in this ancient carol existed even in the days of the Scythians: on the bronze relief from the Scythian mound there is a tree with birds, and the sun and the moon. И после этого начиналась уже рождественская трапеза. При этом обязательно учитывалось, что в этот день в дом могут прийти души умерших предков. На столе ставили столько приборов, но нельзя было использовать острые предметы, с учетом тех людей, которые умерли в этом году, или, например, как война ныне, то с учетом тех, кто находится сейчас в пути, где-то далеко. Впоследствии эта традиция стала меняться. Каждая новая религия пытается либо уничтожить предыдущую, либо нивелировать, либо покорить. Мы видим трансформацию. Вместо Солнца у нас появляется Вифлеемская Заря. Соответственно, колядники уже ходят с Зарей, а не с Солнышком. Вместо дохристианских колядок у нас появляются христианские. Появляются Святые, появляется та же кутья и двенадцать блюд, символизирующие первично – число месяцев, а уже позже – число Святых.
