From ancient totemic beliefs, we moved to Christian beliefs, later came the Soviet myth, which changed to a modern vision. In fact, we want to believe in a miracle, to believe in a fairy tale, we want to see those gifts, for the fact that we were polite boys and girls, then St. Nicholas will bring us small gifts, or cutlets, if we were rude.
Today's tradition of celebrating Christmas has been preserved despite all the Soviet bans and persecutions, we are moving to the world custom of celebrating Christmas. Одно из поверий приводит нас к культу предков, что рельефно выступает в рождественской обрядности. В "святой вечер" (накануне Рождества) вечерний ужин, состоящий в Лубенском у., главным образом, из угла и компота (отвар сушеных плодов), имеет семейный и, в частности, поминальный характер: кутью оставляют на ночь для умерших родственников; по народному верованию, на стене бывают видны неясные отражения маленьких, как куклы, спускающихся к столу людей.
